Sam gave out a soft whistle as the other man told him what year he was from. Storybook characters were real, working for Captain Hook and now he was knowingly talking to someone from the past - the distant past as a matter of fact - Storybrooke was definitely nothing like anywhere he'd lived before and seemed determined to keep showing him things to remind him of that.
"I could tell that much," he told him, refusing to take the bait and respond in kind to the other man's snarky comment. "Little town in Louisiana. I own a little bar down there named Merlotte's. We don't really get a whole lot of fancy women in there," he said quietly. There were the occasional exceptions but not very many of them and that was how he liked it. "The town's not all that fancy, most of the people are real friendly. Real homelike for all sorts of people."
