Rebekah walked in the shadows as she took the sites in from this small town. Now that she had been here for a few days, she became more fascinated by this small town. It was a life where magic was real, and secrets were hard to keep. Rebekah was sure that if there was anyone that didn't know she was a vampire, it wouldn't stay that way for very long. On one hand, it wasn't so bad to be in a place where she didn't have to hide such an important factor. On the other hand, Rebekah valued certain secrets, hiding certain facts can provide power. Yet Rebekah wasn't entirely looking for power, at least not in the way others would use power, for Rebekah it was purely defensive. On this evening Rebekah really needed to get away from her brothers and anyone else from Mystic Falls. It had been a few days since Rebekah heard the news about Niklaus becoming a father. She was sure that Elijah saw right through Rebekah, even if it had been over the network, but she was far from being happy about the news. Nik was going to have a child. Rebekah was over the shock that it was even possible, even though Rebekah was under the assumption that becoming a vampire would make such a thing impossible, that was not what she was upset about. All the years she had been on this Earth, she has desperately wanted a family of her own. It was for a brief moment that Rebekah thought she could have that, but all of her dreams had been crushed when she lost the cure. Maybe her brothers were right, maybe it was just a fling, but wasn't that Rebekah's choice? Rebekah was jealous. It was just that simple, Rebekah once thought she had a chance at love, oka so maybe a few times she thought she had that chance and they were always ripped from her. A few of those times, because of her family being on the run or Nik having some hand it in. Other times, it was her own fault. Rebekah sighed heavily as she leaned against some brick building. She wasn't entirely sure where she was, she had only been around the town a few times. Rebekah heard someone coming, but she remained still not caring too much about who this person could be. |
