Who: Arthur Pendragon and Carl Grimes. What: Arthur teaches Carl some sword skills. Where: The Park, because why not? When: Saturday, November 23. Afternoon. Rating: Low. Status: Incomplete.
Carl had managed to get permission from his father to learn how to use a sword from Arthur Pendragon. This was all to weird for Carl. He was learning how to use a sword from King Arthur. Sure, he had known that people were here from different worlds. People from comic books, people from Harry Potter. But this was King Arthur.
He had been excited to learn from the man, and he hadn't been disappointed. Arthur definitely knew what he was doing, and after the lesson, Carl had some sort of idea of what to do as well. Of course, he didn't know everything there was to know of swordplay. Not after one lesson. But he hoped that Arthur would be willing to teach him more, and that his father was willing to allow him to go for more lessons.
Once Arthur informed him that they were done for the day, Carl deposited himself onto a park bench. He was exhausted. Sure, he was used to physical exersion, but using a sword was completely different from defending himself from walkers. It used muscles that he didn't even know he had. But it was a good sort of sore, and he knew he would be sore for a few days. Not that he was complaining.
