It took Piper a few moments to realize she wasn't where she'd been a few moments ago. It wasn't like when the Mist had given her fake memories of Jason. She could remember where she'd just been and what she'd just been doing. Somehow, though, she wasn't on the Argo II anymore. Instead, she was tripping over the rock she hadn't seen on the ground in front of her as she tried to get her bearings. Piper pushed herself up into a sitting position and took a look around her. No matter how hard she focused, she didn't recognize her surroundings. She wasn't on the ship. She wasn't anywhere she'd ever been before. Sad to say, it still wasn't the strangest situation she'd ever found herself in. "Leo? Jason?" she called out. It was stupid and she chided herself a moment later. Obviously, she'd been taken somewhere and being quiet while she figured out a way out of here was the smarter thing. Shaking her head at her own stupidity, Piper stood and began to explore. She was in some kind of small town, by the looks of it. She wandered down the main street and took note of the names on the buildings. Dark Star Pharmacy, Marine Garage, Mr. Gold Pawn- What kind of name was Mr. Gold, anyway? There was a bar, a library and all the other sorts of places you could expect to find in a small town. Eventually, she found herself standing in front of a diner. "Granny's Diner," she read the words out loud to herself. It looked inviting and she made her way inside. Piper realized she was hungry. It felt like so long since she'd eaten and maybe she would find some answers once she made her way inside. But where were her friends? She's seen the odd person on the street while she explored, but not single person she actually knew. Before she could make her way inside, she was greeted by a woman who explained everything to her. Fairytales and magic portals? Still not the strangest thing she'd ever experienced, but she wasn't sure if she believed it. Piper made her way inside the diner, hoping the food was safe to eat, because she was starving. Once she was seated, she pulled out the PDA the woman had given her and started to play around with it. Relief washed over her when Jason answered her, even though he didn't seem to know much more than she did about this place. Still, he was here and somehow Piper thought whatever it was, they could get through this as long as they were together. Grabbing a menu, she started to study it while she waited for her boyfriend to show up. Hey, he'd told her to stay put and she was really hungry. Might as well get something to eat. |
