Barbie had been in Storybrooke a few days now, but it still seemed a little surreal. He was out of Chester's Mill and that was a good thing, but magic portals weren't any less weird than being traped by a magic dome. Maybe it was a nicer prison, but he still felt trapped and Barbie found himself wandering around town. He wasn't sure he trusted the explanation he'd been given, but it felt good to be a free man again, despite the fact that he really wanted to get back to Chester's Mill and make sure Julia was safe. Knowing Big Jim, he wasn't going to rest until he'd found her and eliminated her, the way he had Max and so many others. Barbie couldn't stand anything happening to her and he would gladly trade in his own freedom, even his own life if that meant Julia would be okay. Not that there would be any guarantees even if he could get back there. As if his thoughts had summoned her, Barbie spotted that familiar mane of unruly red hair up ahead and he broke into a jog to catch up to her. It felt selfish to hope she would end up in this place, but that hadn't stopped him from wishing it. He missed her, so much it was a physical ache. More than that, though, he was so worried about her. If she was here, he could help her. He could protect her. He could keep her safe. Knowing that made it hard to feel too guilty about wanting her here. "Julia?" Relief flooded his features as she turned and he saw she looked perfectly fine. Her color was good, there wasn't even a sign of her wound. "Julia, you're- okay?" Wait. Something wasn't quite right here. |
