"Oh, my baby, I missed you." Darcy clutched her iPod to her chest for a moment, caressing it as though it were a child or even a beloved pet. "God, I was afraid I'd lost you." The expression on her face said that was the worst thing she could imagine. Her iPod was easily one of her most prized possessions. Replacing it would have been expensive, not to mention all the time it would take to re-load it with all of her favorite music! Earbuds were plugged into her ears and the play button pushed as she slipped the small device into her pocket. Darcy sang along with the music as she danced around her hotel room. Being banished to Norway was a pain in the ass, but it would have been even worse if she'd been stuck here without her music. She wasn't really sure when she went from her apartment to what looked like the main street in a very small town. "Huh." Darcy pulled the earbuds loose from her ears as she slowly looked around at her new surroundings. "Jane?" she called, which was ridiculous, because none of the few people she saw milling around resembled her boss. "What the hell?" Darcy had seem some crazy things. She'd tasered a god, for crying out loud. None of those things really explained how this had happened, though. How she'd gone from a hotel room in Norway to this place in the blink of an eye. Seeing a diner, she started towards it, but before she could reach her destination, someone handed her some kind of miniature tablet. Welcome to Storybrooke, said this person she didn't know. Darcy just stood there, arms folded across her chest, as her welcoming committee of one launched into an explanation. When all was said and done, Darcy had a headache and a serious need for some coffee. Thankfully, this place had a coffee place of sorts and after getting directions, Darcy marched briskly towards it. Maybe this would all be easier to digest after she'd had a mocha or three. |
