Spike was a talker, so the fact he was quiet disturbed Buffy. Then again ever since he got his soul he was quieter and harder to read. They were starting to get to a better place before he died, and she thought maybe they were going somewhere good. Maybe they could start over. So much bad happened between them, but she didn't forget that he fought for his soul. He chose to be a better man. It made a difference.
So she waited and found her anger was difficult to sustain. Especially when he said he wanted her to remember him that way. It was a frustrating answer, but Buffy knew he was completely serious. It made sense for him. "What, you think I'd forget you saved the world? That you were willing to die to do it? Because guess what, the blond thing is a stereotype. I'm not that much of a ditz." Buffy shook her head. "You're still a champion, Spike. You're also dumb. And annoying. And I never really liked you anyway." After a pause she tried to hide a little smile and it didn't work at all. "And you have stupid hair." She was quoting him back to him and hoped he'd remember.
