Their relationship had never been easy, nor would it. They were completely different yet exactly the same and because of that they would always clash no matter what, but from the moment Spike had realize his true feelings for Buffy they had been real. He might have tried to deny it at first and then that denial had turned into creepy stalker, but his feelings had always been true. He'd gone so far as to get his soul for her. Even now, a year later, for him anyway, his feelings for her were still the same, "In my defense, that shiny, world saving bauble you gave me turned me into Casper the Disgruntled Ghost for awhile. Couldn't exactly pick up the bloody phone when my hand went right through it."
