Laura nodded at his agreement that there were so many people. She understood his relief that there was something he could do in this place that would allow him to keep clothed and fed and off the streets. She also suspected that he was more grateful than he let on that it was the thing he loved to do and he wouldn't be stuck working for a fast food place or something. Not that he would even know what a fast food place was. Not where he was from, certainly.
She frowned for a moment and finally shrugged. Worrying about it didn't allow her to live the second chance at life she had here and Luara was going to take that chance and do everything she could with it.
At his question, she sighed. "My sister told me. I came here and where I came from, the period of time I came from, everyone who knew Cora thought she was dead. Myself and Derek included. It turns out that she wasn't and she was rescued earlier this year... or well, whatever point in time she and Derek were pulled from."
She smiled as he took her hand and her brows rose, eyes lighting up as she grinned wider at him kissing her hand instead of shaking it.
"You are forgiven as long as you say your name again. I think if I tried to say it now I'd completely butcher it."
She chuckled lightly, feeling a little bad. Maybe it was a common name where he'd come from but she had never heard its like.
