Okay... a job. PJ needed a job if she was going to be stuck here. That was priority number one. The question was... what places around here could she really work at without being stuck? She was good at a lot, but there really was no monetary future in demon hunting, what with personal gain and all. And it hadn't looked like there were all that many demons (if any) in this town anyway... just a bunch of interesting and eccentric people that were not those she knew back home. Yeah Toto... Dorothy wasn't in freaking Kansas anymore. And she hated it. This little town was not her cup of tea. After going through the phone book, she managed to track down a local garage. Maybe that was something she could pull off. She was always working on her own car (and her family's cars), so it wasn't like she didn't have the know-how. And maybe she'd end up with a car to take back home. It wouldn't be as nice as her own but PJ didn't feel right not having a vehicle at her disposal. In fact, she felt damn right naked without one. The girl and her car were (normally) attached at the hip-slash-door. And that was just how the little hybrid liked it. Aunt Paige had said this place was small enough that a person could walk anywhere... so that's what she found herself doing. After all, wouldn't do good to beam someplace she didn't know and end up in the middle of some lake. Or worse... a wall. She'd seen that accidentally happen to someone and it had not been pretty. Of course, she'd made them beam into the wall with her powers... and it had been a demon. So they'd deserved it. It didn't take long to get to the garage either. When PJ found herself upon it as she'd been musing (getting lost in one's head while walking around a town you didn't know probably wasn't the smartest thing ever... oh well), she cocked her head and looked it over. Not a bad looking place. Quaint... but not bad. She could work with it, if they'd have her. "Hello?" |
