Logan shouldered out of his bedroom door, already tugging the jacket up on his shoulders. It had become a very common sight, in the apartment he shared with Laura, and an equally as common expression washed over his features. Someone was here again, someone he knew, and they weren't from his time. It was the same look, every, single, time. Ever since Kitty's little revelation about about Summers, he'd just been annoyed. It wasn't that his annoyance or gruff replies were anything new, or maybe that was the problem. To a lot of these people, he was new. It had started, really, when Rogers hadn't known him. That had been the worst of it to him. He couldn't give a crap if Stark or Rhodes didn't remember him. Barton too, had been a minor sting to the occasional Avenger, however it was somewhat shadowed by the fact that gdddamned Fury, for that matter, hadn't known him. Now Davers was here. Just like almost everyone else, they were from a fractured time. Just like everyone else, they remembered things he didn't, and they didn't have any good stories to tell. This whole place was fucked, and Logan, pleased as he might have been to see others he knew coming in, was finding it harder and harder to show it. If someone was responsible for this, Logan resolved to carve them up like a Christmas goose. Yeah. That helped, and it was just enough for him to work up a smile as he pushed into the lobby. The woman wasn't too hard to spot and, Logan guessed, he wouldn't have been either. He gave an up-nod of his head before moving in her direction, offering his voice only to speak her name out loud. "Danvers." Time might have been strange and everyone else might have been different, but Logan? Logan liked to think of himself as pretty damn timeless. |
