Who: Derek Hale & Open
What: Brooding at the town border.
When: Thursday evening
Where: the woods.
Warnings: TBD
Watching that television show had been a mistake. Seeing everything his pack had gone through while they had thought he was dead made the guilt worse. He blamed Stiles for making him aware of it in the first place. He thought he'd have more time to figure out a way to tell Erica about what happened to her but how could he delay it when their lives were being broadcasted on a tv station?
He sighed softly as he walked through the woods towards the town line. It was ridiculous to keep trying. They obviously wouldn't be able to go home even if they could get past the border but he'd feel better if they weren't all trapped in a town. There would still be full moons to deal with until they got full control over the shift. It was always better when they had freedom to run.
Then there was this guilty voice inside his head that said maybe they were better off there. Erica was here. The Alpha Pack was not. Whatever it was that had poisoned them on the bus wasn't there. They could be safe in Storybroke. They were safe but there were others back in Beacon Hills weren't. Isaac, Boyd, Cora. Isaac and Boyd had lost Erica. They had been tortured and frightened and were at the mercy of the things they were hiding from in this town. He had already failed them and didn't want to do it again.
Bending down, he examined the dirt and shook his head.
He had to get back to his sister. He had already lost her once. Then there was Jennifer. Jennifer who had saved his life without question and who he had apparently put in danger simply by liking her and being with her. Nothing could ever just be simple. Derek would never admit it outloud but there were times when he missed being a Beta. There was a certain amount of comfort in having someone else tell you what to do. It was definitely something he could use just then.
Satisfying his thought that it could be dug under like any other wall, he stood, sliding his hands into the pockets of his jacket. He wasn't sure what to do next.
