Rose smiled and rolled her eyes but she wasn't sure how to answer Jack when he brought up Mickey. "It was nice to have him here," she replied. "I never thought I'd see him again once he decided to stay on Pete's World." Their friendship was rocky for a while. Rose understood how much she hurt Mickey and at times Rose couldn't bring herself to admit what a terrible friend and girlfriend she was to him. It was especially difficult for those first months after she got separated from the Doctor. Rose didn't need to get into that now. Even though Mickey and Rose were at a good place where they could be friends, it could never go back to how it was before.
Rose laughed as she leaned her head against Jack, making it seem she was getting cozy next to him. She didn't say anything until he asked about the Doctors new face. His comment about being twitchy and comparing him to a small dog, well Rose went into a fight of giggles and probably snorted.
"It happened right after Satellite Five." Rose started. "He said he absorbed the energy from the time matrix." Looking over to the Doctor to make sure she had said that correctly. Jack's comment made her smile and she couldn't help but gently shove him. "He does tend to babble on a bit more, he's rude to. You should hear him insult people."
"I've walked around town a few times and talked to any of the locals that I can. They're pretty set on this involving magic, and from the people I've seen over the Network, magic is a fairly common theme in some worlds." At this point Rose was starting to believe it. After all, she didn't think time and space travel was possible and now Rose has been all over. So whose to say that there might not be such a thing as magic.
