WHO: Percy Weasley and Penelope Clearwater WHAT: Meeting for coffee WHEN: Monday afternoon WHERE: The Coffee Shop WARNING: TBD STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
To say that Percy was nervous about this outing would be a vast understatement. It had been years since he'd really talked to Penny, but his flame for her had never died. It had become more subdued, perhaps, turned into glowing embers instead of a scalding hot flame, but she had never left his heart in all the years since the ill-fated ones where they had dated at Hogwarts.
So much had happened since then. You-know-who had been defeated. Fred had died. The whole wizarding world had been thrown into chaos, and almost everything had changed. He'd fought with his family, and had made amends. He was sure that things had been no less hectic and chaotic for Penny, either. They had never meant to spend so much time apart. They had both needed a bit of time after everything to...work through their problems. His with his family, hers with coming to terms with what had happened to her when the Chamber of Secrets had been opened. And they had drifted apart.
Drifted apart until they hadn't talked in years.
Percy shoved his hands in his jeans and walked into the coffee shop, knowing very well that he was considerably early. Hopefully it would give him a chance to get settled, and a little more comfortable before she arrived...so he wouldn't make a total fool of himself.
