Who: Sam Merlotte and Sookie Stackhouse What: Reunion Where: Granny's Diner When: Sunday after his arrival Rating: I don't imagine it going higher than pg-13 for possible language.
Sam had thought that his days of being dropped into unfamiliar surroundings was done when he left the army but here he was, dropped in the middle of a town that just from the look of it wasn't anywhere near Bon Temps. He stood still for a minute, taking in deep breaths that he hoped wouldn't be seen as out of the ordinary as he tried to see if there were any familiar scents he could pick out on the air. Just as he was beginning to give up hope of there being anyone else he knew here, he caught it - the barest hint of her scent on the air. "Sookie," he whispered, a smile spreading over his face at the thought that his friend might be here. He didn't like the idea that she might have been brought here like he was but it was nice all the same to think that there was a familiar face here for him to find.
He moved off in the direction he thought the scent was coming from, stopping periodically to take more deep breaths to make sure he was still going in the right direction. He knew that there was no guarantee that it was actually his friend whose scent he had picked up but that was a chance he was willing to take. If he was wrong he'd just apologize and tell the truth, that he'd thought she was someone else. He lost the scent completely outside a diner and that was when he looked in the window and saw her. Even through the window he recognized her and a happy smile spread over his face as he went back to the door and opened it, calling out a greeting to her as he stepped inside.
