Sulu was bored. He'd explored the town, found a job and now it was Saturday night and he was sitting in his room doing absolutely nothing. Which he hated. He'd been reading a book he'd found in the town library but had quickly grown tired of it and tossed it aside. A drink would be great, he thought as he stood up and grabbed his wallet and his keys. Too bad he couldn't invite Chekov to go with him and while he wasn't sure what the drinking age here was, he was pretty sure his friend wasn't old enough.
He stepped out of his room, yelled in the direction of Chekov's door that he was going out and left the building. The Rabbit Hole (really did everything around here have to be named after a fairy tale) wasn't far and when he walked in, he made his way to the bar and took a seat on one of the stools.
The bartender caught his eye and Sulu ordered a beer before glancing at the man beside him. "Hey," he said with a smile. "I should have asked if you were waiting on someone instead of just sitting down. If you're expecting someone, I'll move." Sulu was nothing if not polite.
