Liv totally didn't mind. She made a face, something between a tight smile and the accepted confusion that just went with this whole damn place. She held her hands up, though she wasn't sure why. Maybe some sort of farewell gesture the dude she ate liked to use. Really it just felt awkward, and she was retreating. Gretel could explain things so much better to her own brother. They wouldn't notice she was gone anyway.
Gretel still hadn't let her brother go- for a while, she would've seriously questioned her ability to in the first place.
"Two months-" she muttered back into his shoulder before pulling back enough to really look at his face, which she framed with her hands, just to make sure it didn't disappear, before they moved to the back of his neck, setting their brows together. The question about her attire could wait. Her eyes were burning from the inside, and it was starting to bleed into her voice. "Two months I've been here without you."
