She did notice the way he stiffened, but wasn't sure of the exact reason. Her past experience was because he had just suffered a severe loss. She didn't withdraw her hand.
"I wouldn't dismiss your pain like that," she told him gently. She was as much entangled in the magic of this place as him, and had only mentioned the difference because she had seen mention of people arriving that were supposed to be dead. But that pain, she could practically feel in her bones. It was nothing she could aleviate, either.
So, she shared it with him. Maybe it would help ease the burden.
"Tell me everything," she offered. "Unless you want to forget, first. Because I can do that too."
