Being dead sucked. You couldn't change your clothes, you couldn't touch anyone or even talk to most people. You were just stuck. Forever in limbo, unable to move on, unable to live. It had gotten marginally better after Josh and Aiden had come into Sally's life. She was still pretty helpless, but at least they could see her. At least they gave her someone, finally, to talk to. In some ways, though, it was still really frustrating. Sally couldn't touch them. She couldn't hug them. She couldn't help them. There really weren't any words for how hard it was to feel so utterly helpless. When Sally ended up in Storybrooke, at least it was a change of scenery. She had no idea how she had gotten there, but that was nothing new for her. She'd learned how to leave the house, but she didn't have much control over where and when she went. This was no different. The exorcism has led to her disappearing with a scream, but there was no door, no anything except that she reappeared in this strange town full of these strange people. What was a surprise was when someone came right up to her and welcomed her to town. They didn't seem supernatural, but here they were, talking to her like she was a regular person. "You-you can see me?" she asked them, hands trembling as her fingers closed automatically around the PDA she was being handed. She nearly dropped it in shock as she realized she could actually hold it. How was that possible? Sally could sometimes make things move, if she really, really concentrated. More accurately, she could move things if she was really, really pissed off. But holding this device in her hand? Touching it, feeling the coolness of the plastic against her skin? None of that should have been possible. She felt her welcomer's fingertips graze hers in the process of handing the device over and her jaw nearly dropped right down to the ground.
