"Nah, I just felt like getting a drink." Faith was a good liar. She'd had lots of practice in being something she wasn't, in making them believe whatever she wanted. She was a pretty good actress when she wanted to be. Maybe she should just admit she was here for Dean. Good liar or not, Sam knew she and Dean were friends. He probably wasn't completely fooled.
Still, she didn't think admitting she was here to babysit him and make sure he didn't do anything totally stupid was really going to help anything much. Sam was already pissed at his brother. She kinda thought he had a right to be, considering the man had just asked the whole town to keep something from him. It wasn't even that surprising that had blown up in his face. Dean had sort of become a friend, though. She didn't really want to add to the pile of shit he was in.
Which was why the next words out of her mouth kind of surprised her, considering she'd just been telling herself she should probably stay out of it.
"Look, I know you're pissed at him. Can't really blame you there. But he seems like a good guy. He picked a shitty way to go about it, but he really was just trying to protect you, for whatever that's worth."
