Sam didn't know what was going on with him right now, he'd been jerked around so much in the last 48 hours that he couldn't seem to get anything straight in his head. He was sure he should've been glad that Dean was here and not dead back home but something felt off about it. Maybe it was the grief, or the fact that he couldn't accept it was really Dean until he'd tested him, but for whatever reason Sam was kind of pissed. He hated that feeling, it always reminded him of the potential for darkness that he had within him, the lengths he was willing to go to to achieve his goals seemed limitless when he felt that way. He'd always made the worst decisions of his life when he felt like that, trusting Ruby, drinking demon blood, releasing Lucifer. Hell, even summoning Crowley was a bad idea but he'd done it without hesitation if it meant there was a chance of getting his brother back. After all the hurt and betrayal he'd felt over the past year and then finally being able to get passed it and forgive Dean only to lose him, Sam couldn't deal with that and he couldn't let it happen no matter what the cost.
And then suddenly it didn't matter. Suddenly he was in Storybrooke and no one cared that he'd just left his brothers body, cold in his bedroom, not even Dean apparently. So he was just supposed to get over everything he was feeling as if it was nothing and then sit here with his thumbs up his ass and not bother trying to get back because he'd been assured that nothing he tried would work. Sam sighed as he walked the unfamiliar streets towards the Rabbit Hole, he didn't even know why he wanted to get back so badly to a world where he was going to have to make a deal for his brothers life when he was currently in a world where Dean was alive. The walk was clearing his head a little and he felt a calmer by the time he arrived at the bar.
He'd actually been going to let Dean drink from the flask but then he'd made a snarky comment and had riled Sam a little again. So instead Dean had gotten a face full of holy water, and Sam had felt a small satisfaction at tossing the water at his brother. "Thanks." He said with a hint of sarcasm at Dean's Incredible Hulk comment, with the shadow of a smirk on his face. The smirk only lasted a split second before Sam narrowed his eyes, trying to determine whether he'd just imagined it or whether he'd really just seen his brother wince when the water hit him. "Uh...what was that?" He asked Dean, trying not to jump to conclusions.
