Who: The Doctor and Clara
Where: The library
When: Backdated to right after this
What: The Doctor and Clara reunite.
Rating: Low
The Doctor read the last message from Clara before glancing up at the horizon, looking for the clock tower, and grinning when he spotted it. Brilliant girl, that Clara. The grin evaporated, though, at the thought of her; it didn't make sense really, how she could be here, ahead of him, and from a time ahead of him. Yes, of course, time travel and what not, anything was possible, but they traveled together; whatever happened to her, surely it would have happened to him. He was curious, then, as to what was happening between them really. Or what had transpired, or would transpire--oh, time travel, who could keep up with it?
Taking a quick spin, he then found himself grabbing his bearings and moving straight for the clock tower, flipping his screwdriver back and forth between hands as he moved, taking a look around the rather normal looking town, but also doing his best to grasp what it all meant. He'd gotten some information, sure, but the Doctor always took information at face value unless he could verify it, or gather it for himself. The idea that fairy tale creatures were living as normal humans in a quiet little coastal town in Maine wasn't all that absurd of an idea. The problem he had was that so many others were coming through, apparently against their will, through an apparent rift in time and space; and yet, nothing was dire, or in peril. Gravity was working fine, time was moving relatively normal, even his watch was working fine. Very few odd readings were popping up on his Screwdriver, things that were expected since it was a parallel universe.
Slipping his screwdriver into the inner pocket of his jacket, The Doctor approached the library with the intentions of meeting Clara; however, she wasn't there yet, so he decided to pop his head in, make sure she wasn't already inside, and immediately became distracted when he confirmed she wasn't there. He began to wander around the historical non-fiction section, flipping through the books to see how the history of this world might different than the earth he and Clara came from; after all, maybe something might suggest how this world came to pass, or came to be. Or why a rift wouldn't effect the world in a way that it really, truly, should.
