All Tris could think as she walked down the streets of Storybrooke, the miniature tablet she'd been given clutched in unsteady fingers, was that this couldn't be real. Several lungfulls of fresh air had rid her body of that heavy feeling, but there was something so surreal about all of this. Magic wasn't something she believed in. The ability to be transported to the past in the blink of an eye- that wasn't possible. None of this was possible. With her doubt, she also kept thinking about how she had to get back there. To the compound, to David and that room. She had a job to do and her presence here now meant she had failed. It meant all of those people would be reset. It would mean those assholes with their idiot opinions about genetic purity had won. She felt numb as she walked towards her assigned housing when she thought of it. How could she be stuck here? Those feelings fell away when she spotted him the moment she opened the door, though. Joy filled her being, if only for a minute. "Tobias." It was a whisper, even though her heart was shouting with happiness. It was horrible, it was selfish, but for an instant she didn't care about anything but the fact that he was here. |
