Caroline should have been angry when Stefan told her he'd given up on finding Damon and Bonnie. She should have been furious when he told her he just didn't care about any of it anymore. What Caroline actually was, though, was hurt. After just staring at him for a moment, she turned and ran out to her car. The plan was to wait for Enzo, but the tears came moments after she stepped into the cool autumn air and by the time she actually slipped behind the wheel, she was full-on crying. Sobbing, actually. Caroline's forehead fell against the steering wheel as she let out all of the emotion. God, her life was a mess. All she wanted was to go home and she couldn't even really do that. She couldn't go home, because if she set foot in Mystic Falls, she would die. When Caroline lifted her head again, she was startled to find her surroundings had changed. She was still in her car, but a glance in the rear view mirror revealed a "now leaving Storbrooke" sign. She was parked just a few feet ahead of that sign, mere feet away from the town limits. "Seriously? Seriously?" she asked loudly, silently cursing whatever or whoever had done this. Magic, she figured right away and maybe she needed a vacation from her life right now, but this was SO not a good time! Carolibe dried her face as well as she could, trying to do something about the fabulous raccoon eyes and make herself halfway presentable. Then she put the car in drive and drove towards town, hoping she'd find some answers there. It was apparently a good plan, because moments after she'd parked again, she was greeted by the Storybrooke welcoming committee and given an explanation that would have seemed crazy if her life wasn't already so nuts, some money, a key and a PDA. She'd been told there were people she knew here, at least, so her first order of business was to use that PDA to try and find them. And a shower. She was seriously gross right now. |
