The notion that Storybrooke was a strange place was not a new sensation to the Son of Odin. Disregarding the nature of events which had brought him here, the manner of communication on the strange and tiny device (which Thor was quite proud of his mastery over), to the many patrons of the place who claimed knowledge of him that he could not explain. Even these were secondary to the notion that there had been two versions of Loki present. Even that didn't hold a candle to the strangeness that was losing his own gifts, only to see them returned. It was this most recent turn that had Thor, quite literally, rushing his way back to the apartment they shared. The All Father himself had breathed the enchantment that rested upon the hammer and the words of worthiness, even if Thor had not understood them until some time later, were quite clear. What that meant for Jane, if she was truly able to wield it, Thor couldn't begin to say. In a lot of ways it worried him, for such powers often did not do well in the hands of Midgardians -- at least not if their own legends were to be believed. However, as he rushed his way into the building began bounding up the stairs, he could not deny that part of him very much felt a sense of excitement. Thor wasted no time rounding the corner and jamming the key into the lock on the door, smiling all the while. It had actually taken restraint for him not to rush through the door and take it clear off it's hinges, but his time among the people of Midgard had taught him considerable restraint when it came to his natural exuberance. Jane, the woman who had managed to capture his affections in no short order, was chief among them. "Jane?" He called, his voice a mixture of the whole of his feelings, as soon as the door was opened. If she was truly able to wield the great hammer, which Thor fully believed she was if she was going to say it, then this would be a sight for the ages. |
