It wasn't like she didn't know he was avoiding this. He was pretty good at that, as far as she knew. Hell she was a master avoider herself. When it came to actually talking about things, she wasn't so good at it. More of a 'hey I'm five by five, let's move on' kind of a deal. She knew that this had to change, one way or another. She didn't want him to avoid her. If he wasn't interested, then that was fine. But she didn't want him to avoid her because they couldn't move past this. Faith was a big girl. She could get over it. Eventually. And hey at least she wasn't going to go off the deep end.
She was a bit surprised that he had opened the door. Honestly she'd figured he was going to act like he wasn't home or something. The look quickly vanished from her face though.
"Hey. Uh.. yeah, it's okay. I guess I'm not surprised. Doesn't seem like people stick around very long." Which was the actual mantra of her entire life. No one stuck around.
Now that she was here in front of him, she wasn't sure if she should press the issue. Why the hell was being a grown up so damn hard? This was ridiculous.
"I.. figured I owe you an explanation. And figured this would help, if you want it. Then I'll y'know.. leave you alone or whatever." Yeah that was smooth. Faith shrugged her shoulder, trying to act like it wasn't a big deal. Maybe then she wouldn't feel apprehensive about the whole thing. She cleared her throat and figured she would try again. "I just mean that I don't want us to avoid us, so maybe.. working this out either way is a .. good idea."
