His hand slipped into his pocket briefly and Caroline's eyes darted after it, watching it suspiciously until she saw that what he'd taken out was a tissue and not a stake or vervain. Caroline stared incredulously at the white object. Was he for real? Had she actually been lucky enough to have the first person to discover her be someone who was a actual understanding human being? It seemed impossible with the way her luck had been running lately; she'd lost her best friend recently and was pretty sure there was no chance of ever seeing her again. They'd blown up the grill and her mom was nearly killed. Luck? Yeah, right. Still, the tissue remained in his offered hand, refusing to mutate into that stake Caroline had been so sure was about to come out instead. Slowly, she stepped forward and tugged it gently from his fingers and gingerly rubbed away the remaining blood stains from her pale skin. "Uh, thanks..." she trailed off. For the first time, his relaxed state spoke of a possibility of others like her being here too. With the randomness of being pulled here, it wouldn't surprise her.
The blond vampire smiled faintly. "Caroline, nice to meet you," she returned and held up the tissue with white fingers. "I'm usually not this messy. Blood bags definitely don't run away from you, but-" She shrugged her shoulders. "New to town, kind of wanted to keep the whole blood lusting thing under wraps and eating humans? So out of the question. Definitely no!" She shook her head feverishly. "And stealing? Not the best way to make new friends...by stealing from their hospital to feed yourself. Yeah, it sounds bad, doesn't it?"
