It had just been a normal day for Kara. She woke up that morning, made plans with Steph to go patrol and kick butt later that evening, and spent her day leading up to that lounging around her apartment with her cat, Streaky. It wasn't until later that evening, when Kara was flying to Gotham to meet Steph for patrol when things got...weird. Even by Kara's standards.
The portal, it seemed had literally come out of nowhere. Before Kara could skid to a stop to try and avoid it, she found herself getting sucked in. There was the strange sensation of falling and nausea as she fell through the portal. By the time Kara was able to fully comprehend exactly what the hell had happened, she landed flat on her face. Always the graceful landing for Supergirl.
"OOF!" Kara cried out as she landed with a hard thud. Invulnerable or not, the shock of the landing hurt, and Kara slowly stood up, slightly dazed as she tried to get a look at her surroundings. Which appeared to be a small town of some kind. Very strange indeed. "What in Rao's name is this..."
Kara could feel people's eyes on her, as she slowly got her bearings back. Ignoring the looks on their faces, Kara did a quick scan with her x-ray vision. Okay. Everyone seemed to be human, and not some weird type of alien that she'd never read up on in her time at the Fortress of Solitude. But people were also giving her really strange looks, and some were even pointing, like they'd never seen or heard of Supergirl. Which was strange, as she was pretty well known.
Choosing to ignore the people staring at her for the time being, Kara turned her head over her shoulder, the sight of the town hall catching her attention. Storybrooke Town Hall. Kara bit her lip at the name. Storybrooke. She'd never heard of a Storybrooke before. Then again, it wasn't like she knew the name of every town ever in the United States....provided she was still even there, of course. For all she knew, she could be on a completely different planet, in a different time. Just because everyone seemed human didn't mean that she was possibly still on Earth.
Knowing that standing around wouldn't give her any answers, Kara decided to seek them out. While she could have flown, she figured that it wasn't the best choice to draw more attention to herself than she already had, as she began to walk down the main street, keeping an eye out for anything that might possibly give a better clue to where she was.
