Jeremy looked up at her. "I wouldn't hurt you," he said quietly. "I've gotten control of it." He hesitated. "Bonnie helped. But I don't...I don't have any desire to hurt you, Anna. Some of the others...Klaus, Rebekah, Katherine before she was human again...but I don't know if that's because of being one of the Five, or because of all the things they've done to my family and friends."
He leaned back a little, not sure what else to say to alleviate any fears she might have about being around him. Because as much as they might not be great for each other, he didn't want to stay away from her, either. Not when she was here, real, and just across the hall from where he lived.
Not when he didn't know how much time they might or might not have.
