"And I definitely appreciate sugary alcoholic beverages. In theory, anyway." In reality she hadn't had much of a chance to try them out.
She nodded as Jubilee explained about her job, smiling again at the fantasy of dictatorship. One with unicorns and fireworks sounded a lot better than some other alternatives. Kitty picked up her slice of pizza and considered Jubilee's question seriously.
"I don't know," she said finally, truthfully. "It's a really long story, and parts of it I don't like remembering. And I don't know if you want to hear all of it." Jubilee was such a sunny, positive person. And hearing about one's death and the attempted genocide of one's species tended to bum a person out.
