Somewhere out there in another dimension, dead or alive, Lindsey McDonald was laughing his ass off right about now.
For a minute, Lilah just stared at the other woman. Really, it could be worse - she could have been rooming with Angel, or even Wes (because the awkwardness there would just be too much for her to deal with) - but this was high on the list of last things Lilah wanted. Finally, she rolled her eyes and looked back down to her pad, forcing her emotions to calm themselves and ignoring the faint flutter of fear deep in her stomach.
"I'll be sure and lock my door at night," she said dryly, flipping the page in front of her up and continuing onto the next, trying to keep up the image of a woman who didn't care. Why should she? Jasmine had killed her while possessing Cordelia, and she and the other woman had never been friends or anything close to friendly. It was for the benefit of both of them for Lilah to see about moving out as soon as possible, because this wasn't going to do. At all.
