The worst thing about waiting things out was the waiting part.
Life in Storybrooke wasn't bad, per se, but it wasn't where she should be at the moment. Even with all she's been told of this place and the manner of her leaving (that not a moment will have gone by), she still couldn't bring herself to fully ignore what was going to happen back home.
Then there were the nightmares. Back home, only Jax knew of what exactly went on during her imprisonment, but because no one else believed her and thought it was trauma from being against the black dragons, she couldn't get proper help either. Not that she needed it, not that the fear of invasion allowed her to focus on something else. Here wasn't the case, she couldn't just put her mind on the next assigment or drill. Her job was simple enough and training wasn't exactly taxing enough for her. That things would catch up with her was only a matter of time.
Such was one night when she just couldn't sleep, memories taking her back to the cell and of Outworld. With Saturday being a day off, she couldn't seem to force herself to sleep either, spending the time looking at the clock. Fuck it, she'd sleep later. Seemed a waste of time than staying away.
Back home, Sonya never watched movies, no time or nothing to catch her interest, Yet at the moment, curling up with an old star trek episode and a cup of tea seemed like a good idea. Second to Dr. Who, these were her favorite growing up.
Of course, in her daze, she didn't really realize just how much noise could travel through apartment walls, but in her defense she figured any sane person would be asleep by now.
