Things had been fairly stressful of late, what with all the people coming and going from town and the recent problem of Hydra. Belle didn't really know much about comics, but she had talked to Henry and he had explained things well enough that she had a fair idea of what was going on. His understanding of comics was very useful. Honestly, he knew more about a lot of things than most adults in town. She really did think he was a good kid, which was why she was glad he seemed to enjoy the library so much. Plus, he was family, since he was Neal's son and she had come to think of Neal as almost a son himself...in spite of their close age. Families in Storybrooke weren't exactly conventional.
But the point was that things had been busy and hectic and she felt like a break from the chaos was more than overdue. So she'd left the library in Remus and Danny's capable hands and gone by Granny's to pick up some lunch before making her way over to Rumple's shop. Opening the door carefully and slipping in side, she tried her best to move quietly to keep the element of surprise. Sometimes, she thought, it was just nice to do something for someone else that they weren't expecting. Looking around, she headed to the back and popped her head behind the curtain.
"Hey, you," she said cheerfully, hiding the basket she'd brought with her behind her back. "Do you think you could take a break?"
