Paesano's had been a good idea. The food was solid, and while the town was small enough that she was starting to recognize most of the residents on sight the restaurant wasn't as packed as Granny's Diner, so they had a modicum of privacy.
And it had gone pretty well, she thought. Arthur hadn't exactly started spilling secrets, but they'd had a conversation and she'd only kicked him under the table once. And she'd talked him into ordering tiramisu.
And the wine had been good. Really good.
Maybe that was why she was leaning slightly into his side as they walked back towards their building.
