Charlie's feet pounded on the pavement, his heart beating hard in his ears as he sprinted out of the gates of the park, skidding to a heavy halt on the pavement and stopping to brace his hands on his knees, bending slightly to gulp down lungfuls of air. Charlie had never been the type to sit around doing nothing, even when he’d had holidays or time off. Back at home his idea of a relaxing afternoon had been out flying his broom around the dragon enclosure, keeping an eye on the younger beasts as they took their first awkward leaps into the air.
Charlie straightened up, wiping the back of his hand over a freckled forehead, pushing sweaty red hair away from his eyes before turning to start off home. Sadly, at that moment someone else was heading in the opposite direction, and the second-oldest Weasley walked straight into them. Charlie recoiled, a wince on his face, one hand outstretched apologetically.
