Remus was sat at the kitchen table, flicking through the pages of the newspaper he'd picked up on the way back from his meeting with James. His gaze kept gravitating towards the date at the top. Still, Remus liked newspapers. You knew where you were with newspapers, mostly. Even if this one wasn't all that helpful, with it being all about people and things he didn't understand, but still - newspapers were reassuring. The dealt with facts, which was good to know when most of the things you knew had been turned on their head.
He turned back to the front page, brushing his finger absently over the printed date, as if it might suddenly flake off and reveal the correct year. Sadly, that wasn't the case, so things stayed just as confusing as they had been before. Remus sighed and pushed his chair back, pushing his hair absently back off his forehead and looking around the kitchen.
It was very disconcerting, he decided. Wonderful, obviously - he suddenly had everyone he cared about back. The one impossible thing he'd been wishing for for the last four years had come true in one miraculous scoop. But that didn't mean it wasn't a little nerve wracking. Remus couldn't shake the feeling that it had to come with a catch. He dropped his hands back onto the table and, without really thinking, started fiddling with the corner of the broadsheet. It didn't take long before there was a small pile of newspaper shavings developing beside him.
