WHO: Tobias Eaton and Tris Prior WHAT: Talking WHEN: Backdated to their arrival WHERE: In town WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Incomplete
He still wasn't sure this wasn't a simulation. Of course, of course, he had listened when they'd spoken, telling him about the 'fairy tale' land they'd been pulled into, and about how they couldn't go back home. He'd listened, and understood the words for what they were. He might not have aptitude for Erudite, like Tris did, but he wasn't stupid, either. But the truth was that the words were crazy. And this place was unlike anything he'd ever seen in his life. It had to be a simulation. Only in a simulation could someone come close to convincing him that anything approaching this insanity could be real.
And yet...it was an awfully long simulation. And being Divergent, he should know that it was. And being Divergent, how did they put him under a simulation against his will in the first place? None of the gasses or mind control things had worked on him, after all.
It all made him incredibly uneasy. Because if it wasn't a simulation, then it was majorly fucked up. It was far easier (and more comforting) to believe that it was simply an insane new sort of simulation. But of course, being Dauntless wasn't about easy or comforting. And as he walked down the street with his hands in the pockets of his jeans, he felt his training kick in. He was on guard. Observant. Ready to fight at a moment's notice, if it came to that. They were instincts that would serve him well in this place, as they did every place.
Reaching the place that Tris had told him about, he looked around for her. He wasn't surprised that she wasn't out in the open, but he didn't know this place well enough to know all the hiding places. He was sure that she'd find him soon enough, though, so he took a seat on a nearby bench and waited.
