Who: Isaac Lahey, Scott McCall (Teen Wolf, Melissa or Allison or anyone else who wants to catch them welcome on the end.) What: Escapee munchkins. Where: Out and about. When: Monday morning-ish. Ratings/Warnings: Low. They are puppies. Status: In progress
Isaac still didn't really understand what was going on, but he knew he shouldn't say that, probably, since he'd look stupid if he did. Ms. McCall (she said to call her Melissa, but Isaac forgot sometimes) had promised Isaac's daddy wouldn't be mad, and she'd gotten them dinner last night and she was nice.
Scott was there too. And he didn't remember how they got here any more than Isaac did, which made Isaac feel better. He'd never really been friends with Scott. They were in different classes, and Scott was usually with Stiles, who was loud. Isaac didn't really have any friends. But now he kind of wished he did, because Scott was nice too, and he was fun. Isaac would have shown him his comic books, but he didn't have them here.
Instead they'd stayed up late, reading under the covers on the phones. Isaac read too slow sometimes, but there was a lot of people, and they'd figured out how to put in earphones and make it read things to them. People here said they were superheroes, or had magic and things. Isaac would think they were lying, but Melissa said it was true, so it must be. Which meant there really WAS a Wolverine here. And a lady who said she was Lydia Martin, but was way too old.
It was basically awesome.
Isaac didn't want to make Melissa mad, but there were COMIC BOOK CHARACTERS out there. Real ones! Not just costumes! So when Scott and him woke up they thought it would probably be okay if they just went a LITTLE outside.
Melissa had found them clothes that sort-of fit. Isaac's shoes were too big and he was wrapped up in a jacket that hung off his hands. But he was warm, and he was outside with Scott and somewhere, there was a Wolverine. It was only a little outside. And there couldn't be bad people around anyway. Superheroes were here!
There was snow outside though. Isaac had never seen snow up close. It was mostly wet and kind of melty. It was prettier in movies, Isaac decided, pulling his sleeves tighter over his hands. "Which way should we go?" Isaac asked, looking guiltily back up at the windows above them once.
