Fred offered Hermione a small smile when she appeared shocked that he had used magic in public. In a muggle town, no less. "Yeah, they know about magic here. Magic is kind of what brought us here, no one here appears to be what we're used to Muggles being like. Everyone here seems to have something strange about them, whether it be that they can use magic, or they can teleport, or they're superheroes. They're not your average, every day Muggles."
He looked toward Hermione when she said that she couldn't stay here in Storybrooke. "Hermione... they end up okay. I promise you. We can't leave, Storybrooke won't let us. But please believe me when I say that Ron and Harry are going to be okay. People here, they come from different places in time. Teddy Lupin is here. You know, Remus's son? He's twenty. Luna's here, too, and she's twenty as well."
He knew that what he was saying didn't make any sense, didn't sound believable. He wouldn't have believed it if he were Hermione. But he desperately hoped that she would. Maybe she just needed a chance to learn everything for herself, to learn that what he was saying was true.
"Come on, let's get some food. I'll explain everything while we're there."
