Gwen couldn't help but notice that slight hesitation in Arthur's response to her suggestion and she kept her gaze away from his until she was certain he wouldn't see her disappointment on her face. She looked back at him, ready to suggest something else but stopped when she saw that smile on his face. "That's all I ask Arthur," she said quietly, smiling at him, happier than she can tell him that he's willing to try.
She took his arm when he held it out to follow him onto the dance floor. "I would be happy to," she said quietly, lifting her skirt a little with her other hand to make it easier to move in. The ballgown was lovely and she was enjoying the opportunity to dress up so much but she'd be glad to be able to wear her normal clothes again just because they were so much easier to move in.
She'd danced earlier in the evening with Merlin and it had been different than the dances she'd seen back home but it didn't seem to difficult. So long as you paid attention to the other dancers and what they were doing.
