It was recent. HYDRA took great pains to pin crimes on his reputation, and when that didn't work, they became more direct. It was a difficult situation. I was lucky I left the war with my wife and a job, and I wish more people were given such a chance. I'm grateful.
As a general question, is it typical to speak of such personal things in public? Perhaps it is a product of the time. I have always been more private than most, I admit. It would have been startling and concerning had I not gotten the details from you. But from what I see on here, people are very comfortable speaking candidly about their lives. It may take time to adjust to.
