I think that, knowing Deadpool like we do, that he'll assume the satchel is finally empty or broken. I really do. Think about the man's mind, Logan. We can actually use it to work against him in this case instead of just focusing on how it benefits him in battle.
He will absolutely kick up one helluva fuss if he's not fooled. That's exactly why I want us near him when this happens. Carol will be long gone after the swap, but I don't plan on leaving Deadpool unwatched until he's checked out his satchel. If he doesn't buy it, we step in. You really think Deadpool, as impulsive as he is, is gonna think twice about laying into us and putting the blame there? He'll know we're involved. We'll be right there for him to focus on. That all adds up to where his eyes and fists are gonna land. That's also why we want some people further back on the periphery, as a second line of defense. Layers of it to keep him contained.
I hate to point it out Logan, but nothing about the risk of Deadpool finding out by checking the satchel will change if we swap Carol for you, and it'll take more than you to contain him if that happens. We can make sure someone's on the ground with Carol as a lookout. If you wanted to take point on that and I'll handle keeping Deadpool distracted, I'm open to that. You can have Carol's back as she makes the swap.
