Especially not if it's been a house pet it's entire life. It's one thing if you find the animal out of doors and manage to earn it's trust enough to bring it into your home. Then it might have a chance if it needs to take care of itself again for some reason. That probably won't be the case with any rabbits that were given as Easter presents.
I don't even want to try and imagine what must go through their heads. Especially not any animals that come to the shelter older, having been a part of a family for a long time.
