Did everyone around here come from a place where all you do is have parties and have fun all the time? Hell, I can't believe that hardly anyone's taking this seriously. We've been kidnapped by people we can't trust, brought to a place that none of us really understand, and people are just having fun.

You know, the Capitol can seem fun when you don't look at it too close, too.

No, I came from a place where my friends and I are in danger on at least a weekly basis. Everyone close to me has technically died. Since I've been here, I've even watched my dad and myself die ON FREAKING TELEVISION.

But I also know that life's short and you have to make the best of things when you can. I'm alive, my friends - most of them, anyway - are here and alive. I've looked for a way out. There isn't one. So, yeah, I'm going to enjoy the time I have with my friends. I'm going to enjoy being alive and having my magic and not being the anchor to the damn other side while I can! because it's not like I have anything better waiting for me at home.

But this, it's all fake. It isn't our lives. Even if it's better than at home, at best it's like being stuck forever in a dream and liking it.

I don't think that's entirely true. Maybe some people might come from a place where they aren't constantly struggling to survive or having to watch children kill each other, but I think here they can at least try for a second chance.

Maybe I'm just being naive. Maybe since I didn't die back home, I'm going to die here. I don't know. But I want to at least try to have a different life with you and I think you, Peeta, Katniss, Annie, Johanna and Finnick deserve a chance too. All of you more than me.

Life's a non stop party where I'm from. Really.

Trust me, some of us are taking this seriously. But there also isn't a way out, even if we all were to rise up against the people who have put us up there is nowhere to go. Trust me this isn't my idea of where I want my life to be, but I also have to find some enjoyment or else I'm going to go crazy.

I know pretty well what a life without any fun in it is like. That's been my whole life. But I'm alive, and I plan to keep that way, and if that means not getting complacent, then there you have it.

I'm not suggesting you get complacent. I'm sure as hell not getting complacent. Just find some middle ground, I guess.

Maybe we can't trust them, but they haven't done anything to us besides and nothing's come out to kill us.

I wouldn't really say I'm having fun all the time, I just know that if I don't keep busy I'll go crazy.

Pretty okay with this fake world than the world where I come from. I'd rather have fun and go to parties than be back in a world where I'm hunted for what I am and my friends are constantly in danger.

Because for some of us the alternative is going back to a world where we're in danger of being bitten by Walkers or killed by other survivors. Not to mention seeing our friends killed in front of us for our decisions Just because you don't see us obsessing talking about it doesn't mean we're not taking it seriously.

I haven't forgotten about home. Or the people that I love that are still there. But here - is a hell of a lot safer than there. I don't have to worry about Carl getting killed every day I lost one kid back home - here my son is safe.

I came from a town trapped under a dome. Not a lot of parties in Chester's Mill since that happened.

Sometimes, you need to take the opportunity to relax when it presents itself. We might not know these people but they haven't done anything to hurt any of us.

If they wanted to hurt us, I doubt they'd have given us homes and jobs. It would have been much easier for them to just leave us to fend for ourselves but they haven't. They've gone out of their way to be helpful.
