modly post #11 : plot progress + moar npcs!
Given our current rate of progression, we're thinking that we may be able to get around to our Joining ceremony sooner rather than later (hooray!). That being the case, we would like to get current threads set during Summerday wrapped up soon, and have Alistair's group arrive at Amaranthine by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12 -- this can either be done in the same fashion as the Circle/Chantry arrival, or people may begin smaller posts for their characters to react to their surroundings. As before, any unfinished threads/scenes that take place between Summerday and the first week of Molioris will remain open for posting in. However, our IC date will be moving forward.
Two IC days will pass between the last of the recruits' arrival at Vigil's Keep and the Joining ceremony, so the Warden-Commander can prepare the ritual, and the gathered recruits can have time to interact and get to know each other a little. We would like to start the Joining ceremony thread by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19. More details on the thread, such as expected posting order, will be forthcoming closer to that date.
Because there's a sort of questionable survival rate to the process of becoming a Warden, we've whipped up a few extra NPCs in addition to the magi and templars (Byron, Emrys, Lirana, Maddock and Trevan) mentioned in previous threads as fellow Grey Warden recruits. These characters would have trickled into Amaranthine over the course of the last month or so. They are free to use in scenes by those gathered at Vigil's Keep, but we've provided you with a rough guide for their histories/personalities. Have fun with them! Just don't get too attached. :P
Ser Agrona Couch - 33 - Waking Sea Knight - During the early phase of recruitment, Agrona proved herself worthy by winning a combat tournament to represent Waking Sea among the Grey Wardens. She is well-mannered, exhibiting both confidence and humility. Lord Kae Eremon - 27 - Waking Sea Noble - The nephew of Bann Alfstanna, Kae has been an archer according to family tradition since he could hold a bow and arrow. He eagerly begged his aunt for the opportunity to be recruited as a Warden, seeing it as a chance for glory and adventure. Ser Russil Flann - 41 - Redcliffe Knight - Russil was one of the knights who was sent on a search for the Urn of Andraste, but returned in time to defend Redcliffe Castle when the darkspawn invaded. Though somewhat older, he is a wise and experienced leader. Ser Drust Ormond - 35 - Dragon's Peak Knight - An old friend of Allan Maivia, Drust left behind his Avvar tribe in the Frostbacks to fight the Fifth Blight and remained in Ferelden after. He is a large tattooed man, who is thoughtful, but reserved in nature. Ser Cira Rossi - 26 - West Hills Knight - Cira was a child when West Hills was taken during the Blight and her parents were slain. Young and competitive, especially as the only female knight from her arling, Cira feels the need to prove herself to everyone. Lord Brannan Rowe - 25 - Rainesfere Noble - Son of the Bann, Brannan is a second cousin to Coan Bryland, and a talented archer. Eager to get out of the bannorn, he hopes to bring honor to the family as a Warden rather than a spoiled noble. Ser Ruaree Voss - 37 - Highever Knight - Ruaree was lost in the Korcari Wilds with his lord, Fergus Cousland, when they were sent to Ostagar fifteen years ago. As soon as word of another Blight came, Ruaree was the first of the Teryn's men to volunteer himself for the cause. |
