Holly's back from her school. The show's between seasons right now, so me and Dad have a few days off and Paul invited us both over for the five days closest to Christmas (2 before, Christmas, and 2 after). Dad decided against it (Dad and Paul get on all right, but I guess both being divorced from the same woman makes things kinda weird for them) but I'm here for 'sibling time'. Since I'm not going to school with Molly anymore, I actually did kind of miss the rugrat, so I'm okay with it. She's in first grade now, which is kinda weird. I can remember when she couldn't even talk.
And Holly's still Holly. You'd think being a witch and going to a magic school might change a girl, but no. She still only talks about her horse, her clothes, and her therapist. The "big news" at her school is evidently that there's a psychologist there now. Yipee. I guess even witches go crazy. Maybe magicking is a bad idea after all. The show's pretty cool, and Dad's agent is talking about getting me auditions for guest roles in other shows or maybe even for a movie. Seems I'm popular with the viewers.
We'll see if I even get a letter, I guess. I mean, how do they know anyway? I sure haven't told anybody. And I've only used Holly's stuff to teach myself how to brew potions, like, um, well, it's like a chemistry set, right? You can hardly fault a guy for playing with chemicals. Same goes for sliced rats tails. Besides, Holly's potions stuff looks like she never uses it, so I'm just making sure her teachers don't take off points for that. I'm a just being a self-less and thoughtful brother during this season of giving.
Yeah. Right. And if you believe that, I've got some land to sell you.
One of the potions even did what it was supposed to. It was incredible. I mean, being told Holly can do magic is one thing, but personally dripping a few drops of some bubbling brew onto a baseball and seeing it shrink to the size of a marble is something else entirely.
Okay, my acting career has nothing on magic school. If I get that letter, I'm gone. Before I go home tomorrow, maybe I'll try using her wand. See if that gets me noticed.
