A tag for Mollie Marcus rolled over onto his back and turned his head to look at Mollie. He was on vacation, finally. His first decent vacation in nearly two years. It was hard to swing too because of all the traveling he did on his days off to see Mollie or if she came to see him and he wanted to spend as much time with her as he could when she was around. Being a Law Enforcement officer in the magical world was not as easy of a life as one would think. It could be rather frightening how many shady people there were in his city. His job was never really over at the end of the day. His was constantly on call with the department in case anything happened and they needed more people. Sometimes it made for long nights.
But he loved his job.
He wasn’t thinking about that now though. Instead he was enjoying his vacation with Mollie. Sometimes he wondered how they had ended up being together. They were such opposites. She was messy, wild, absent-minded. He was strict, clean, logical. They were both laid back though, which seemed to go against how he handled himself (traits that came with becoming a Magical Cop really) so that probably helped them mesh together. Either way, he was rather grateful to have her in his life. With all the terrible things that he saw every day, he enjoyed having someone to turn to whenever he needed a pick me up or just to vent. He honestly felt like more of an adult whenever she was around then any time he was single.
He kissed her forehead lightly to keep her from waking up before slipping out of the bed and into his boxers. He grabbed a treat* from his bag and left it on his now abandoned pillow for her for when she awoke. Their relationship wasn’t easy. Well, the distance wasn’t easy. Being with her was. They rarely had any issues except distance and Marcus wasn’t really sure how that was going to resolve itself. He couldn’t leave his job in DC, not until he was at least further along in his career, but he couldn’t ask her to leave her home either. It was such a predicament and he wasn’t sure how to approach the subject.
It was early in the morning, the best time Marcus believed for working out. So, while she slept, he pulled on his workout clothes and went into her living room for his routine. His mind was full of things about the future. They had been dating for about two years and everyone was asking him when they were going to commit to one another permanently. He could honestly say that it wasn’t something that they had ever really spoken about that and it made him nervous. Marcus had casual flings and the occasional girlfriend, but it had never really been more than that. Mollie was really his first long term girlfriend and someone whom he wanted to be with for as long as possible.
With his workout done, Marcus was drinking a glass of water when he saw Mollie up in the bedroom. “Good morning.” He greeted with a grin. “I was thinking eggs for breakfast, are you interested?”
OOC: *I wasn’t sure what she liked (flowers, chocolate, trinkets, etc), so fill in treat with whatever it is that she enjoys
