Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Hello, m'lovies! While I'm working on his biographical data and such, I figured I'd post here as well for lines. This is Dino, the messenger, a bike courier who came to NYC for college, and just sort of lingered there since then, thinking he'd have proper job chances with a degree, and ending up the bike courier he currently is. 27 years old, Dino is somewhat of a romantic and yet constantly single, partially because his not-going-anywhere career is quite the downer to him, and he doesn't usually feel like that's something that will go over well in a relationship in the long run. Other than romantically crippled, he's a simple, easy-going guy, he can be a bit timid at times, despite what his looks suggest, and he's not the hugest partier or drinker, but greatly enjoys blending in with the drunk crowd for the fun of it--and more so remembering it the next day.

At this point, he could use pretty much anything; exes, close friends especially, males of any sort in his life, family... Really, pretty much open to all.

I don't know what we could do with them, but currently Alejo is hurting for male friends. He has one in game the rest of his friends are all girls. He's only been in New York a year, still getting to know it all and is busy during most of the year but is off right now and as such as babynapped his niece and is spending the month with her.

That sounds like an adorable thing to do for a month off, haha. They might have run into each other in the park and hit it off, or on the street, any such thing? Since Dino's rarely seen in bars, or they might yet meet in the park with the niece tagging along?

Alejo isn't big on the bar scene, during the season he 'isn't allowed' per se and he tries to keep it to a minimum as it is. They easily could, he'd take her and let her get out some of the energy he's given her.

Sounds good to me, then we can just see how they hit it off.

I saw that you left a comment on my pbads. What did you have in mind?!

I figured those two might probably get along quite well, since Dino's somewhat of a romantic himself who greatly likes the idea of marriage, kids, all that, and as bike courier, they might have met through that, one way or another.

Dillon's idea of romantic is a little morbid. Some might find that out if they ever get serious/close with him.

This dude is all f'ed up but I would love to have someone who understands him, at least in some sense.

It sounds the part, indeed! Which is something Dino would have no problem with at all, me thinks, and would be more than happy to put up with in exchange for good conversation.

Assuming that Dino would understand Dillon and his crazy love theories, I am also going to assume that this wont be an average bromance kind of relationship.

Dillon can be pretty superficial with some people for the sake of keeping up an appearance but I think a true friendship with another guy would be awesome.

Whether he understands him or not, he'd love to hear them no less. But yes, he's not quite the "let's meet at the bar and talk about the latest game" type, so he'd appreciate that more than any ol' bromance. I agree, a more honest kind of friendship would be grand, and Dino loves kids, so depending how old they are, he'd be a-okay with babysitting.

That's wonderful. How long should we say they have known each other?

His twins are 8 years old.

Well, Dino's been in the city for quite a few years by now, so anytime within say, the last half dozen years would work for me? I'd say a year or two maybe?

Thats cool, or we can go with something even more recent if you would like. We could really develop their relationship in play instead of just assuming.

Actually, I think I might prefer that. How would you think they met and got talking?

Well, Dillon is all about work and his kids. We could always say they met thanks to a mutual friend?

That works for me, no problem! Since we're both yet bringing them in, no idea whether there's actually anyone, but that can stay the nameless one.

Not sure if she would help or just make matters worse, but Lotte here is pretty much the eternal optimist so when he was feeling particularly down about his career or life in general, she would do everything she could to cheer him up! Admittedly, she's one of those people who's sunny disposition can be a little annoying when all you want is a moment to bitch and moan, but she's so sweet that it's hard to stay angry with her for long. I've been looking for a good guy friend for her and I think he might just work. What are your thoughts?

Haha, a bit of both, probably. He's not really the bitch and moan type, at best he'll glower at the wall or a canvas for a while, but he can't keep a straight face for long in the face of optimism. I think he'd really appreciate having her around!

Addy is also 27, she went to Columbia so I don't know if you would like to play them as classmates or something like that, up to you, but I offer her up we can figure something out.

I'm sure that would work! I hadn't settled yet on just what college he had attended, so I'm quite alright with that. What did she major in?

She majored in psychology, she actually has a doctorates now and is a child psychologist. But even if he wasn't in psych they could have met in an English class or something like that.

Then let's go with English class, since I think it's one of the subjects Dino would've enjoyed anyway, while I narrow it down to what exactly he did. What's your girl like?

Bob here is actually the romantic premade, so they might have a lot in common in that respect. She co-owns and runs a bar and is maybe a little more of a workaholic then she'd admit. She's unabashedly open and honest about herself, so she's pretty confident although painfully introspective. She randomly talks to everyone, so I'm sure they could have some line.

That sounds good to me, Dino tends to be the sober one during nights out, so he'd be happy to start a conversation with someone who isn't drunkenly falling off barstools.
