Hi all! I'm thinking about apping this guy, pb Michael Stipe as 'the golden parents' premade, and while I finish his bio and application, I thought I'd see if I could find some family lines for him. Max is one half of a gay couple and he and his partner [info]julem have been together ever since the late 70s. Max and Jules have three daughters, all adopted, and would love to have them in game (any PB and any premade would work). Backstory-wise, one of their daughters is pregnant, so maybe a soon-to-be son-in-law would be amazing too (or a pregnant single girl who moves back in with her dads after a tearful break-up with her boyfriend). Other connections - friends, friends of their daughters, ex-boyfriends or current boyfriends of the girls, neighbors - would be loved, too.
Aside from the three daughters, I would also really love to have Max' sister around, and - longest of all longshots - his mother (pb would be the amazing Betty White), and [info]julem is looking for a couple of Jules' siblings (brothers and sisters - Jules' family is huge).

I am not sure what I could offer up Melodey for butI would love love love a line with you. I love your PB choice. The best thing I can think of is that Melodey is a nurse-midwife so is it possible they hired her to help with their pregnant daughter maybe because she is pregnant herself or because she's youngish? Anyway, I am totally open to ideas.

Oh, nurse-midwife sounds amazing! Max and Jules run a bakery, so we could totally say that they met there and then got talking about the pregnant daughter? The guys have no experience with pregnancies and Max is all excited about it, so advice from a midwife would be fantastic :)

That would be lovely! I read in her bio that Holly had plans to major in fashion, so that would be another reason for Max to like her. He loves fashion and secretly hopes that one of his daughters will take that route in college.

Aw, well that'd be great then. She's fashion obsessed and can spot a label, or something fake, a mile away. She's also always front row for fashion week. So she'd drag him along.

Had I seen this before I created my girl, I would have loved for her to be one of their daughters. Still, I would love some kind of connection. Friend of one of their daughters or something.

That would have been amazing. But a friendship line is great, too! Max and his family moved to NY shortly after the adoption of their first child, so the connection could either be a new one or we could say that Nora and the girls have been friends for years.

That would be fantastic! Max and Jules love their kids and it would be amazing to have a daughter in game! Backstory-wise, they have three kids - a teenager, one daughter in her early twenties, one in her mid-twenties - and since all three are adopted you could pick any PB/premade. Do you have a preference, age-wise?

I was thinking of using Emily Browning if that settles well with you! If it does, she can either be a teenager or in her early twenties, whichever you would prefer! How old were the girls when they were adopted?

I love Emily, she would be perfect! The eldest daughter was only a few months old when they got her (she is a blood relative, the daughter of Jules' brother who died in a plane crash). The age of the two other girls is up for discussion -- the current age as well as the age of their adoption.

A friendship between our characters would be lovely. Payton works for the ACLU and he lost his partner a year ago.

A friendship line would be great! If Max knows about Payton and his partner, he would do his best to support Payton and help him through this (or would have done so in the past). Losing his partner or one of his kids is what Max is most afraid of :/

Oh my God, I would love you FOREVER! And Betty-PB would be loved, too! She would get the most amazing family with grand children (~dhalvor, ~angelam and ~maymartin) and a really wonderful son-in-law (~julem). I never really expected to get this line filled and your comment really made my day <333

OMG!!! I can't believe it! That is sosososo awesome! Oh my God! I'm so excited that you'll bring her <3

I have a family thread in Max' journal (a place for family-wide questions or discussion and to meet the rest of the players) and I would love to add you/~ericaf, if you don't mind :) Or I could make an ooc custom for us (or both, ooc custom and add you to the family one) - whatever you prefer!
