Hey all, this is Marco Vittore Rossi, 26-year-old younger brother to [info]chaserossi who posted earlier. Some quick facts for anyone who would like to help him out and establish a connection - Marco's family is originally from Jersey, so he grew up in the Jersey/New York area with a prominent family and attended NYU, graduating in 2007. He left New York and went to Vegas and then LA but right before the holidays transplanted back to New York. Marco has a passion for animals and was studying to be a veterinarian but is feeling burnt out on school. He's an adrenaline junkie and would love to find others interested in some extreme sports. He grew up playing sports and would be up for pickup games in the park or even a recreational league. He's crashing at his brother's place in Manhattan and his closest friend in New York right now is his 13 year old niece - which would be nice to change. He's got a lot of history written up but there's a lot of room for old friends and everything current is wide open. I think most people he'd be meeting for the first time but I'm happy to brainstorm or let lines grow organically, open to aim or threads. I'd love to work out lines with all of you!

I have Paul here who enjoys extreme sports and is willing to give almost anything a shot, unless there's extreme danger of hurting his hands, since he's a surgeon.

I would love that. Marco's had a crash course in stunt driving, he loves skydiving and has a pipe dream of owning his own plane, hiring a pilot, and starting his own skydiving company. He loves to travel and usually picks destinations for extreme sports possibilities and interests- bungee jumping, hiking and rock climbing, hang gliding, surfing, white water rapids - he's done and loves it all. He'd love a friend to get out of the city with for a weekend of adventure from time to time.

All of that stuff sounds like the types of stuff Paul would be interested in. He's a member at a rock gym with his friend [info]brchell, and they go climbing there all the time. He's been tossing around the idea of skydiving again, since he hasn't done it since he was still in college. But whenever he manages to get time off, he'd definitely be all about getting out of the city for an adventure. I know you said Marco was new to the city, perhaps he's a member at the rock gym too? They could meet there and strike up a friendship, if that makes sense?

I'd love to throw Dominique out for a friend line. She's been living in NY since she was 14 after her family moved from England, and she also attends NYU. She's three years younger than him but they could have met at some point and struck up a friendship? She's pretty friendly, and did grow up playing a couple of sports, mostly football soccer, so maybe they met during one of those pickup games in the park? Or anything else you might be able to think of.

Marco played football and soccer growing up but stopped playing on school teams when he went to NYU so he would definitely have been part of a group of people who used to meet in the park regularly just for sport. She would have been high school or college freshman at the time if thats a group she would have been a part of - if I'm working out my timing right that's when he would have left for Vegas. Another option I have is she could have known Marco's girlfriend back then, Isa, who he was with for six years, or even his younger sister Ana. Isa would be two years older than Dominique and Anna one year older. It all depends on how well you want them to know eachother from back then. I'm open for any of it.

Hmm, we could combine a little of both. I definitely don't mind saying that she's friends with his sister since their ages are closer together. And maybe he was the one who told her about the games in the park. She doesn't have any older brothers so she tends to look up to older male influences in her life as such, so I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up thinking of him like an older brother, if you're game for that.

Friends? They are around the same age, and maybe met through soccer or football games in the park? He's been in New York for several years so they can have known each other before or just met.

Friends would be great. I glanced at his bio and it looks like they'll have a connection through Dom too. Dom was part of the games when Marco was in New York so if works out that Henry knew her back then I'm down with that. Otherwise they can meet now, if they're all crazy enough for winter games. Marco would be but he'd be dressed like there was a blizzard since he's been in Santa Monica ha.

He sounds like somebody Callie would love to chill with. She has the party animal premade, so she loves to have a good time. She'll try anything once, twice if she likes it, and if she loves it she gets addicted to it. She hasn't done much extreme sports, but she wouldn't hesitate to give them a shot if somebody introduced her to that world. She's a dancer/choreographer and has been to LA to visit some friends before, so maybe we could say they met out there? I'm completely down for some plotting.

Marco isn't much of a party animal, bars and clubs are definitely not his thing, but he gets dragged out to them occasionally. They could have met during one of such occasions in LA, one of his friends knew one of her friends kind of thing? They wouldn't really know each other, but would recognize each other enough to bump into one another in New York and start a friendship. He'd be more than happy to introduce her to the world of extreme sports and he's been learning some moves playing Just Dance with his niece so he may take her on in the dance world haha.

Well Cal doesn't just hang with party animals and club goers, so that wouldn't really matter. She likes having fun in general. I was going to suggest the friend thing, that way they'd be like "Oh hey, I remember you." I like that idea. I think the extreme sports thing would fascinate her, which would then get her wanting to try them out. Haha well Callie would want to see his dance moves so she could judge, though she's not a harsh judge.

we could have an old line connection if you wanted! unless you'd prefer a new one. i don't mind either way. what kind of line were you looking for? i've had her around for a while, but i don't have a lot of my lines that i came in with, so she needs essentially everything.

Definitely. Marco and Tyra are bffs, he's literally turning into a 13 year old girl, so he'll go to dance class sometimes with her. Marco loves football, so if she ever needs a date to a game to watch her man - Marco will make that sacrifice. ;]

Why hello. We should talk so I understand the Ren/Marco dynamic. Essentially its the same Marco you know, minus the death of his brother, and the rest of his backstory is the same. Tell me about Ren here.

She is essentially the same! I'm still technically on hiatus, so I'm toying with changing a few things with her career, but it's still the same Ren that she was in LA, except that she's 25 now and likes to think she's a little smarter and mature than she used to be. Her backstory is still the same, same with her history with Devon.

Hey, so I saw some mention of pick-up games of soccer above...would Marco have played in high school? They're the same age, both from Jersey, and Nate here played soccer in a county not far from where you said Marco grew up. They could have been rivals or something?

They were actually born only 4 days apart, after checking out Nate's bio, so that's pretty spot on. And he did, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, and football, either in school or via a club team or rec league. An old rival would be cool.
